Pink Beach locally called Pantai Merah is one of the nice beaches of the Komodo island and has become one of the favorite destination during Komodo tours or Komodo trips in the Komodo National park. It is located 30 minutes from the park office at Loh Liang on the Komodo island.
The activity at Pink starts normally after the tekking on the land of Komodo island as the water temperature is often very cold in the morning.
The Pink Beach hides an abundance of coral and fish species. You do snorkeling above the beautiful soft and reef corals of different colors. Many fish species hide in the reef corals that you can find while snorkeling.
Something more significant of the Pink Beach is the pink color of beach sand, one of only seven beaches in the world. The sand looks pink due to the mixture of white sand with broken bright red skeletons of organ pipe corals, which can be found in abundance in many other parts in the Komodo National Park.
This beach is one of the most beautiful beaches of Komodo island and has become one of the most visited parts of Komodo island. There you spend time by snorkeling to see the excellent underwater garden filled with beautiful corals and many species of rare and small fishes.
